We have replaced the standard rear lights on our Jimny with LED rear lights. On the one hand, because the lifespan of LEDs is significantly longer than is the case with conventional light sources, so you don’t have to worry about the light sources for a long time, and on the other hand, of course, for optical reasons.

An e-approved and therefore registration-free solution was important to us. The rear lights we have chosen meet all the requirements of the StVZO and also have a rear fog light, which is unfortunately not the case with many other LED rear lights on the market.

Using the toggle switch on the back of the tail lights, you can choose between classic flashing and running lights for the direction indicators.

It is a plug and play solution, all plugs and connections are coded and can be connected to the original wiring harness without any further modifications.

The taillights have been in use with us for over a year without any abnormalities or problems. The Jimny’s CAN bus also accepted the rear lights without any problems.

The taillights themselves are each fixed to the vehicle with a total of three screw connections. The fit is very good, the entire assembly can also be carried out by a layperson without hesitation. It took us about 30 minutes to dismantle the original taillights and assemble the LED taillights for both sides.

The lights can be found at Jimnystyle, where the set costs around € 300
